Professional golfer Tiger Woods once acted for a cover of
Men’s Fitness shortly after a National Inquirer perceived a tip
in 2007 that Woods was sleeping with a waitress
named Mindy Lawton, the New
Yorker reported in an exposè published in a Jul 3
The tip was years before Woods’ marital infidelities had been
suggested to a public.
Men’s Fitness and a National Inquirer are both owned by
American Media and run by CEO David Pecker, who was profiled in
a New Yorker for his ties to President Donald Trump.
Pecker told a New Yorker that Lawton’s mom had
called a Inquirer and pronounced Woods and Lawton met during a caf� near
Woods’ Orlando home where Lawton worked.
“She pronounced her daughter serves him, and afterwards she has a
attribute with Tiger, and she goes out to a parking lot
behind there and they have sex together,”
Reporters from The National Enquirer hid behind a bushes
of a parking lot and prisoner justification of Lawton and Woods
“The Enquirer guys were behind a underbrush and she contingency have

Pecker pronounced that a Men’s Fitness editors had asked
Woods to seem on a cover of a repository mixed times.
After a Inquirer asked Woods for criticism on his assignation with
Lawton, Woods’ representative called Men’s Fitness and concluded to negotiate
for a cover story. Woods seemed on a cover in August
“Pecker was all over me about a negotiations with Tiger’s
people,” Neal Boulton, a editor of a repository during a time,
told a New Yorker. “I authorised myself to get sucked into this
Pecker insisted to a New Yorker that Woods’ initial cover
coming was not extort and that he never dictated to run
a Lawton story.
The National Enquirer would go on to
tell stories about Woods’ other affairs in 2009.
