PepsiCo’s Indra Nooyi was named CEO in 2006, and authority in 2007.
Ten years later, she wrote on LinkedIn about the lessons she’s schooled from using the $166 billion company.
One such lesson is that “people are everything,” she wrote. “The success of an craving customarily comes down to one thing: a team.”
She had always famous this, on some level, she wrote, and had adopted former CEO Steve Reinemund’s use of essay records to employees to acknowledge their contributions and accomplishments.
But on Nooyi’s initial outing to India to revisit her relatives after being named CEO, she wrote, “the approach we suspicion about all this altered completely.”
She continued on LinkedIn:
“A solid tide of family and friends came into a house. They’d go right over to my mom and say, ‘Congratulations.’ Or ‘You did such a good pursuit lifting Indra.’
“Watching them, we satisfied I’d never finished for a comparison executives during PepsiCo what my mothers’ family and friends were doing for her.
